Headcanon (Always adding more, so keep checking back!)

>Alfred came to being within the world of Wonderland. He is unsure if he was actually "born" since he was alone when he first gained consciousness, but he has certainly never met another Cheshire or anyone quite like him.

>Alfred was not "born" mad, but he quickly became such for two reasons. One, he found it rather difficult to keep a grasp on his mind since his body could disappear and separate at will. Two, it was simply easier and more fun to just go along with the madness of his world than to try and think against it.

>Alfred, though mad like the others, is actually rather intelligent and very, very clever. However, due to his strange manner of speech and giddy personality, people tend to overlook these facts and take him at face value for an idiot. They later regret this when he proves them wrong.

>Alfred has explored every inch of Wonderland and so he is the best guide one can have. Not that he would make a good guide due to his constant disappearing and short attention span. Still, if you ever need directions in Wonderland, finding him would be your best course of action. Getting the directions out of him and then deciphering them is another matter entirely.

>Recently during his travels through Wonderland he has found a few magical looking glasses. Upon venturing through them he has discovered other worlds. This is how he primarily speaks with other AU characters and interacts with them. Thus one does not necessarily need to be in Wonderland to roleplay with him.

>Alfred, being a cat, is very, very curious. It does not take much to get him interested and often enough he will do anything to sate his curiosity. This is the best and easiest way to get favors from him.

>Alfred loves being scratched behind the ears or pet on the head, but pull his tail and you will discover just how real those claws of his are. He may even bite if he feels he is threatened or if someone extremely provokes him.

>Alfred is almost always giddy and carefree. It is an extreme rarity to find him sad or angry. If he is angry you should stay away from him, because a mad person is unpredictable during a rage. If he is sad then you can attempt to cheer him up; it is during these times that he is at his most serious and his deepest thoughts reveal themselves.

>Alfred recently discovered he rather likes catnip. A lot. The discovery is recent because there is no catnip in Wonderland and he only just stumbled upon some on Earth. It. Is. Glorious.

>Alfred lives in the Tulgey Wood, within the largest tree in Wonderland. Almost the entire trunk is hollowed out and crisscrossed with branches from top to bottom. Ledges are set at various intervals along the inside layer of the trunk that remains. Large mushrooms are the primary furniture, but be wary; the fungi of Wonderland tend to have mysterious properties. He primarily keeps his possessions in hidden nooks, and even the door (the sole entrance to his home aside from the secret exit) to his home is at the very top of the tree, practically blended into the wood surrounding it.

>Alfred has been seeking others of his kind for as long as he can remember. Discovering other worlds gave him hope again, but his searching is still proving to be fruitless. His life's goal is simply to find just one other Cheshire Cat; someone he could call family.

>Alfred has recently discovered that he is nothing but a fictional character created on another's whim. His entire life was all or at least mostly scripted and his personality and feelings may not necessarily be his own. He has managed to get over his initial depression for the most part, but bringing up the books is a very easy way to get him riled up. (Aka it's a sore topic for him.)

>Cheshire Cats rarely cry. This is half because they are so carefree and half because their tears carry the same magical properties as their bodies. Happy tears make flowers grow, while sad ones make mushrooms grow. Flowers or mushrooms grown by Cheshire Cat tears also have these magical properties, most often in the way of changing a person's body.

>If Alfred's emotions flare up (mostly anger), he will drop into a heavy English accent. This is because he was written by an Englishman. (It's sort of like how the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland dropped into a Scottish one when he got pissed.)

~Alfred's body has spots of fur on his chest, forearms, shins and the tops of his feet. It is a mix of pink and purple in color and is softer than anything else in the world. Softer than silk or Egyptian cotton or the fluffy coat of a kitten. Note this does not apply to his blonde hair; that has the normal texture of hair.

>Alfred really hates thunder. Being part cat, the fact it's loud and unpredictable means it catches him by surprise every time, even during a storm when he knows it's coming. If a thunder storm occurs, he will either hide somewhere small or cling to whomever is available at the time. Watch those claws~

>Alfred really dislikes seeing other versions of himself hurt in any way, but especially physically. It makes him hurt in a strange way, and he hates being hurt. Mainly because it's so difficult for anything to actually hurt him, so when it does happen he's not used to the pain it brings at all.
